A Sicilian fortified wine produced in the Marsala area from vines according to the production regulations (Law 851 dated 28.11.84). Alcohol content of 18% vol., sugar content 30 g/l.
Harvesting period: end of September.
Alcoholic fermentation in steel silos at controlled temperature followed by “tanning”. Alcoholic fermentation is stopped by adding alcohol or wine spirit. Ageing for more than two years in Slavonian oak barrels, maturation in bottle for a minimum of two months.
A traditional dessert wine that is the ideal complement to the finest desserts. Serve at 16/18 °C.
